John Terence Ononuju's Global Peace Movement Journey

 John Terence Ononuju serves as the Global Convener of the Global Peace Movement, where he provides overarching leadership, coordination, and strategic direction for all global peacebuilding activities of the organization. In this role, he is responsible for mobilizing partners, stakeholders, and communities toward initiatives that prevent conflict, promote human rights, and strengthen social cohesion. His work involves designing and guiding programs that focus on community mediation, civic education, leadership development, and grassroots peace interventions.

As Global Convener, he leads efforts to unite governments, civil society groups, traditional institutions, faith leaders, youth groups, and international partners around a common goal of peaceful coexistence. He promotes nonviolent conflict resolution and supports the establishment of local peace structures that can identify early signs of tension and resolve disputes before they escalate. He also provides strategic advocacy that encourages policy reforms, strengthens institutions, and improves public awareness on the importance of peace and human dignity.

His leadership emphasizes inclusivity, community-centered solutions, and evidence-based approaches. He supports training for youth and women leaders, builds networks across regions, and champions initiatives that enhance community safety and trust.
